1/2 lb (225g) ground beef (80/20)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (for that flame-grilled flavor)
1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
2 sesame seed buns, lightly toasted
4 slices of tomato
4 pickle slices
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
2 lettuce leaves (iceberg for crunch!)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp yellow mustard
Optional: 2 slices of American cheese (for a cheeseburger version)
Shape the Patties:
Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Divide into two equal balls, flatten into thin patties slightly wider than your buns (they’ll shrink when cooked).
Grill or Pan-Sear:
Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill over medium-high. Cook patties for about 3–4 minutes per side until crispy and brown. Add cheese during the last minute if using.
