1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
1/2 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (or puff pastry/crescent rolls)
